Excellent location Free parking Good wi-fi

Broken lights in the bathroom Needs new carpets

Nice Property in very quiet location and off-street parking space is good. 2 Nice Toilet facilities with 2 Showers. Reasonable price for the stay.

Nothing to dislike but the 2 levels of stairs are very narrow with small footplates so maybe not ideal for the very old or infirm.

The location, the quirkiness of the cottage. I read the reviews after I’d booked this and was a tad apprehensive about staying as there was a good 90% worth of negative reviews. So let me give you some positives, I booked early check in and was able to get in straight away with the code I was given, I then walked into a spotless kitchen that had a microwave and washing up equipment. Next was up the stairs, yes they were steep but that’s to be expected from an old cottage, living room was lovely and quirky, bathroom was fine, no problems at all with the shower or toilet in this bathroom. Next up the top floor to the bedroom, another set of steep stairs (again it’s an old cottage), don’t book it if you can’t manage steep stairs. The bedroom was a decent size, bed is extremely comfortable. Moving on. To the en-suite, perfect addition so you don’t gave to go down those stairs during the night, toilet needs a few flushed to work but it does work. Bath is lovely, water flow is great and hot. Would i stay again? Yes i would. Also got to take my dog which is perfect as it’s not a holiday without bringing her along for the ride.

There was no working smoking alarm in the property, as an emergency services worker this is extremely alarming for me, especially if there was a fire during the night. Decor needs updating but not the end of the world. And the WiFi doesn’t work but it wasn’t needed whilst I was there.

It was cheap for the night and in a good location

The stairs. There are to flights of stairs. One to living room then a second to the bedroom No good to anyone with mobility problems or even small children. Very steep
