The best stay I had in Sri Lanka ❤️ Mount Rest Villa was honestly the best stay I had during my time in Sri Lanka. What makes this place so special is not only the beautiful, clean and comfortable room, but most of all the incredible hospitality from Dilani and her family. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and at home. The family are some of the sweetest and most genuine people I met during my trip. They were incredibly kind, helpful and generous, and really made me feel like part of the family rather than just a guest. They also offer such a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic Sri Lankan life and food. They cooked delicious Sri Lankan meals for me, invited me to have lunch and dinner with them, and even taught me how to make Sri Lankan food myself. One evening, we also walked to the grandmother’s house and had dinner there, which was such a lovely and authentic experience that I will remember for a long time. If you are looking for a genuine Sri Lankan experience rather than a typical tourist stay, I cannot recommend Mount Rest Villa enough. It feels peaceful, personal and incredibly authentic, while still having everything you need. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable, with all the facilities I needed. A huge thank you to Dilani and her wonderful family for making my stay so special. I truly could not have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka! ❤️

A quiet place off the main road where you can rest. The room is dark unless you open the door which then turns the room into something completely different. Which is actually good because you have darkness to sleep in. I slept well here and the kitchen has everything you need. The owners are always very helpful and friendly. I was welcomed with tea and even a delicious lunch! This family definitely goes out of their way to make their clients feel and stay as good as possible. Thank you for everything.

I would take away the Christmas decorations but it’s not big deal.

À notre arrivés les hôtes étaient super accueillants, ils nous ont servi un petit thé. Les enfants étaient mignons. C'était vraiment une famille chaleureuse et adorable. La chambre était très très bien équipée (cuisine, frigo) une première pour le Sri Lanka.. c'est rare. Il y avait tout ce qu'il faut dans ce logement ! Super bon rapport qualité-prix. C'était tellement pas cher pour tout ce que ce logement avait. C'était parfait🥰
