This was the most peaceful day I’ve had in a while. We went to the Dells for a basketball tournament. I love the town, but I don’t enjoy staying in waterpark hotels. I found this beautiful house or cabin online, and it’s not usually something I’d choose since I prefer the city. However, I will never regret this decision. There are so many wonderful things about this house that I don’t know where to start— the yard, the ability to bring my little dog, the swings on the porch, the amazing kitchen, or hearing crickets and watching fireflies. I’m excited to go back this summer. It was just the break from reality I needed. The house isn’t huge, but there was plenty of room for me and my husband, three teenage boys, and a little feisty dog. As for the owners, absolutely amazing great communication and see like overall good people. I’m so thankful that I stepped out of my comfort zone to discover my place of comfort. Can’t wait to do it again

Silence, privacy and nature including toad and morning visits from 2 lovely whopping cranes. The activity of the resident Wrens was a constant marvel Thanks Joe and Nadine for all your care. we had all the things we needed and the surprises of a tuned piano and a guitar I enjoyed playingBill and Sharon

Secluded cabin, but near so much to see & do, Dells, hikes, small towns - with its own hiking trail in the 'backyard'. Owners are thorough & organized in providing info about the property. The amenities are abundant & just makes sense (kitchenware - even a little rice cooker- games/tv, outdoor space). TV remote/operation is not complicated! We enjoyed so many different types of birds, lounging on the deck. We did a great hike at Devils Lake state Park.

Kind owners & clean for a pet friendly (we did not bring a pet). We greatly appreciated the array of movies, books, and games! I was surprised how many my family was interested in! I must have missed it in the listing, but there isn't a dishwasher. We usually wash dishes prior to using anyway, but this time it felt more necessary. (I.E. Cooking utensils in the crock on the counter were covered with a sticky/dust layer with visible pet hairs. When washing dishes, one of our dish cloths had multiple pet hairs in it, etc.) We ended up pre-washing the dish cloths so I could prewash the dishes, then we left the clean dishes in a pile on the island all week so they wouldn't get mixed with the others.Watch out for the deer antlers in the bathroom as a towel hook. My husband is 6'2"/6'3", he turned around after a shower one morning and it got him in the eye. The trail to Fairy Bluff wasn't what we expected. We thought that it would lead to an overlook of pretty landscaping not seen from the house. It is a steep climb through the woods that only overlooks the field in front of the house. We thought the firewood was included. It has a "suggested donation" on it. (Which we appreciate wasn't a hard price, but still a disappointment. We chose not to use it.) Overall, its a cozy place in the country. It was a nice stay. If you are from the country like us, its less impressive but still worth staying. If you're from the city and looking to get away, it would be a great choice.
