Dar Oueghlani - Maison d'hôtes

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, well-maintained 200-year-old house. It has so much character and charm, while everything was exceptionally clean and well cared for. One of the things I particularly appreciated was having windows on both sides of the room. We could create a lovely cross-breeze, so the room stayed pleasantly cool at night without needing to use the air conditioning — something I personally prefer. The ladies who welcomed us were absolutely exceptional. They were incredibly kind and helpful, gave us lots of useful information about Djerba, and made us feel very welcome. And the breakfast was simply the best we had during our time in Tunisia! We were even introduced to bsissa, which they explained to us and told us where we could buy it. The location is also very convenient, right in the centre of the island, making it easy to reach different parts of Djerba.
