Perfect stay in Lucca. Excellent location, quiet and well-kept property. Nicest place I have stayed in a long time.

Very small bathroom hard to use

Manca un piccolo televisore

The location of this apartment is fantastic. It's on a quiet street but very close to one of the main piazzas and a short walk to plenty of restaurants. Being right in the city was a great experience. The bedroom was very large and had a window that opened to a small courtyard. If you are having a longer stay, the kitchen was really decent with a large fridge and cooktop. The apartment felt secure and safe.

Unfortunately, the bed was completely broken on one side, making for a very uncomfortable sleep. Several slats were missing, and I actually found them hidden at the back of a cupboard. I communicated this to our host on the 2nd day and received no acknowledgement at all until I followed up the following day. The host was apologetic, but no solution was offered. The apartment layout also didn't make a lot of sense. The bedroom is large with almost no furniture, not even bedside tables or a comfortable armchair. Meanwhile, the bathroom is so small you have to open the shower door to sit on the toilet, with your feet in the shower! The shower itself is tiny, and there is hardly any room to move around in it. So if you are someone who needs space in a bathroom, I certainly wouldn't recommend this apartment. There are also a lot of groaning and squealing noises from the water pipes throughout the building, so be wary if you are a light sleeper; it will wake you up. I also didn't appreciate being asked for a positive review, as these are apparently the only ones that help them 'improve'. As a travel professional myself, I can say with confidence that there is far more to learn from less favourable reviews, and this type of feedback is the most valuable. It seemed rather odd to be asked for a glowing review when something as basic as a decent bed was not provided. Had the bed been fine, the other elements would have been less inconvenient, but together, they sadly made this apartment one I wouldn't recommend.
