Hotel Holloway

Given that the hotel is located over a petrol station and the reception in the forecourt shop, I had low expectations. I had a bit of bother as I hadn't received my entry code tec. The chap in the shop was extremely helpful and sorted everything with a phone call. On arrival in the room I was astonished at the pristine decor, immaculate little bathroom and that my towels had been sculpted into a heart with some chocolates! I took them home for the lovely Mrs! Great value and excellent for a short stay. Really quick walk into the centre and New Street station.

The shower was a bit leaky... but no dramas.

Easy check-in / unstaffed arrival Very clean and comfortable Good facilities Great presentation of the room Good communication before arrival and helpful with parking enquiry Quiet and comfortable room Walking distance from O2 Academy which was reason for our stay Shops and walking distance from restaurants and food etc

Surrounding area was busy, but quiet Using lift at back of the hotel when there was no access to the stairs Coffee and tea facilities weren't replenished and no instructions for coffee machine

Ok so it’s the first time I have ever been at a hotel that’s unmanned and I didn’t know this until 24hrs before. Random place above a petrol station but it appears safe and they knew when you had checked in. System is easy enough to use and rooms are clean tidy and what you expect and more. Fridge hairdryer tv. Although it maybe unnerving if you’re on your own it’s safe and comfortable.

It was above a petrol station but works

The location is perfect for any shows at the 02, literally a 2 minute walk away. Plenty of car parks close by too. The entrance and hallways were really clean and pleasing.

We had to wait outside 10 minutes for them to get the access code to us. Luckily it was a nice day. The floor in the room was dirty with stains, the shower didn't drain properly and all you could smell was the drains for hours after a shower. And, the window didn't open so that wasn't ideal.
