Dar Megdaz

Coming to Megdaz was an absolutely lovely experience. The drive itself is an adventure in its own right with some amazing scenery along the way. Communication with Mohammed was smooth and he was there to greet us when we arrived in the village. He was always up for a chat and could tell us about how life progresses in this small mountain village. The meals provided were excellent and Mohammeds family were friendly and hospitable. The terrace and the room including the bathrooms were both also clean and well maintained. Staying here was a lovely experience that was well worth the time it took to get here.

Very polite lovely people! This place is the secret pearl of the Atlas Mountains! Unbelievable village. We fall in love immediately. Waterfalls and beautiful hiking tours for all ages. Pure nature. To reach the village you need at least 2 hours.. small rocky roads and back of course. But it's worth it. Riad Dar Megdaz is the best choice!! The owner and his family are the most polite people ever! They also cook very good for you! 1000xthanks!! We love you!!!

This family run guesthouse is really unique and an amazing experience! The hosts are all very kind and try to make your stay as beautiful and convenient as possible. They are also very happy to share interesting information about their lives and culture in the mountains. The view from the roof of the house is simply breathtaking and Osama (one of the brothers) even took us on a three hour hike to see a waterfall and walk up to another Berber village. Really the best views of our Morocco trip so far! On our first night, we arrived quite late, but they still cooked us an amazing dinner! If you are looking for an authentic experience this is definetely the place! The whole time we were there we didn't see any other tourists. Thank you for everything!

Mohamed et sa famille ont fait preuve d’une hospitalité et d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle. On s’est sentis comme à la maison ! Le gîte est très confortable et tout est bien pensé pour vivre une expérience authentique. Surtout, n’hésitez pas à faire des excursions avec lui : il nous fait découvrir des petits bijoux insoupçonnés dans cette magnifique région qu’est Megdaz et la vallée de la Tassaout ! Nous reviendrons pour passer encore plus de temps dans ce havre de paix.
