The hotel exceeded my expectations

Terrible spa experience at Palazzo Cordusio. I was taken to room 116, where the therapist appeared completely unqualified to provide a professional massage. She demonstrated no knowledge of massage therapy, proper techniques, pressure points, or body movements. She was not even familiar with the massage treatments offered by the hotel and had to say, “Let me check,” when I asked her. Later, when questioned about the treatment, she replied that she had told me it was a “relaxing massage.” Even a relaxing massage requires proper training, knowledge, and technique. I have had a massage approximately every four days for the past 15 years, and I have never experienced such a poor standard. She did not know where the room’s lighting controls were or how to lower the music. She also poured freezing-cold oil directly onto my body as though she were pouring oil into a cooking pan. I then had to sit at the spa reception from 9:38, wrapped only in my bath towel, waiting for someone to resolve the situation. After leaving me waiting in such an uncomfortable and embarrassing condition, I was simply told that they had no alternative or solution to offer me. Even the reception staff were unable to handle the situation professionally or provide basic customer service. For a luxury hotel of this standard, the entire experience was shocking, unacceptable, and far below expectations. In my opinion, this therapist should not be working in the massage sector without proper professional training. Management should urgently investigate her qualifications and review the spa’s recruitment, training, and complaint-handling procedures.

Housekeeping exzellent, Lage perfekt

Frühstück ist eine Frechheit, Servicepersonal in allen Restaurants und Bars bestenfalls anwesend, beim Frühstück 40 Minuten auf Getränke gewartet, was allerdings noch besser war, als das Warten auf Bedienung in der Rooftopbar. Wenn man sich nicht beherzt bei einem Kellner in den Weg stellt, würde man nie bedient werden. Es ist unglaublich schade, wie sehr dieses ausstattungsmässig tolle Hotel unter dem nicht vorhandenen Service leidet. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ein Witz, der pro Person über EUR 50,— kostet. Die Brotauswahl ist in jeder Jugendherberge größer. Das Servicepersonal hat leider unseren Gesamteindruck extrem negativ beeinflusst. Und die vielen Entschuldigungen prallen dann auch schon von einem ab.

It is one of those places that makes you feel at home as soon as you met by the concierge. The first things that impresses is the truly excellent renovation of an insurance company HO. You enter your room and you notice attention to detail. Not only in furniture and fittings but also in small things. Like the crystal glasses on the bed side or the B&O unit or even the leather cases for the TV controls. Service impeccable - from organizing transport to Monza or the airport to making sure the transport actually arrived. Magnificent views of the Mandonina from the roof garden, location in the heart of Milano - if you value tradition with up to date modern facilities truly excellent service and discretion this is the place to stay in Milano

Nothing really

The location itself is perfect. Staff a mix of super friendly ( concierge/ check in/ breakfast and totally not interested in the bar during drinks. Breakfast is excellent but over the top expensive if paid for. Ours was free to compensate for parking access mess

The access by car to the hotel is a total nightmare. They tell you to go to plaza Torino and then follow the tramline. One problem, due to construction work and renovation of the square, the hotel isn’t accessible. Crazy not to give clearer instructions. The room design is modern but weird. A sink next to desk, shower flooding the floor into the room, it all looks nice but isn’t particularly well designed for hotel usage.
