Price was good, views

This place is great if you like chickens, the free 5am alarm is very useful, staff are delightful.

We arrived a little after the check-in time as we were sober- driving who had to an emergency and we had to leave in a bit of a hurry. Sorry no photos as it was too dark to take any.

When booking it did not state the room was inside the owners home but it was still great. The room was nice but there was limited ventilation even with the window open it was hummid, the door open wasn't an option (privacy and all).Probably needs some kind of fan to keep it cool- especially that its summer or air circulation at least. As well, the roadways to the property were loose metal/ gravel and could pose a problem for luxury cars etc.

I found the property well kept and spotlessly clean. The hosts were friendly and made me feel at home. The view of Maungatapere mountain and the valley was uninterrupted and beautiful. Also quiet and tranquil. I had the choice to sit outside and eat my dinner. The Queen size bed was very comfortable. All the linen and furniture was clean. The. decorations such as the artwork and displays in the glass cupboard were well presented and tasteful. The carpets were in very good condition. The shower had good water pressure and temperature. The property is of a decent size. with a large hallway passage Even though three guests including myself were staying on the Thursday night. With the large carpeted hallway passage there was plenty of room for all of us without disturbing each other.
