Lukay Las Brisas

A very comfortable stay in a lovely room with an outstanding view overlooking the pool and beach. The location was good and, being away from Station 2, it was noticeably quieter and more peaceful overall — ironically, the beach area immediately outside the hotel had its own challenges. The staff were friendly and most went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room was comfortable, and the views were a real highlight.

Unfortunately, the beach area immediately outside the hotel was not particularly relaxing. The beach vendors seemed to rule the roost, with loud conversations starting as early as 6am. When trying to relax, there was often little peace as vendors were talking loudly around you and occupying the shaded areas where the sunbeds are located. At times, their presence could also feel quite intimidating. The verge immediately outside the hotel also seemed to be a place where people from neighbouring hotels would congregate to smoke.

The hotel has a good location and easy to find and rooms are really nice and beds are comfy

The location was good. The food. Staff were pleasant.

I expected the hotel to be as shown in the advertised photos. I was completely enamoured by what I saw online, which ultimately led me to book with them. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.When we arrived, the receptionist could not initially find our booking. I'm not sure whether there was a communication issue between Booking.com and the hotel's system, but I had to confirm several times before I felt confident that everything had been sorted out. Since we were travelling with children, I asked if an early check-in would be possible, but we were informed that it would incur an additional fee. Fortunately, the staff allowed us to leave our luggage while we went out for breakfast.When we finally checked into our room, I was disappointed to find that it did not match the photos advertised online. The ground-floor bathroom had no sliding shower door, and every time we showered, water spilled onto the bathroom floor. We tried to stay on one side of the shower to minimize the overflow, but water still pooled outside, creating a potential safety hazard, especially with children in the room.The staff were pleasant and courteous throughout our stay. However, there were ongoing renovations during our visit, and the swimming pool was noticeably dirty. Unfortunately, it also looked very different from the photos used to advertise the property.On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent and was one of the highlights of our stay.Overall, while the staff and breakfast were great, the condition of the room and pool, combined with the discrepancy between the advertised photos and the actual property, did not meet our expectations.
