The accommodation is situated in what seems an older complex of Luxury block of flats. Super nice imperial entrance but the staircase was a little bit underwhelming. The elevator is old and kind of creepy but does the job. The accommodation is most likely reconverted by using two rooms of a very large apartment. The owner lives in the remaining rooms. You enter through a common area which then splits into 2 separate entrances. They were very respectul towards our privacy and we only had contact at check-in. Super clean, very nice looking comparing with other properties in the same price range. Loved that it has 2 rooms, as the kitchen is also a very nice living room. Bathroom very stylish, Kitchen is equipped with all that is needed for an enjoyable stay. Matches photos exactly. The amenities are nice, there are also 3 super nice restaurants at ground level. You have cheap and excellent breakfast at the Tavernetta. Sciara is perfect for late night bites. All in all a very good stay for the price. We enjoyed our time there and we would like to thank the owners for having us.

1. Noise: Having nice restaurants at the ground level has it’s downsides. It is almost always noisy at night. The flat is very near a highly circulated Main Street and the noise of motorbikes and scooters has kept us up at night. Earplugs can help. The windows and frames are the old style and not double glazed. They provide little to no sound insulation. You are always under the impression that you have the windows open because the noise is so loud. There was also a national holiday so this might have also contributed to the overall noise level. 2. Parking: It is not the owners fault as he does not provide parking. There is street parking available and there is residents parking inside the complex which you can try and access if you find spots. Parking on the whole island is a problem and this being a busy area, you may find it difficult to find a spot. Additionally, depending on the direction you are coming from, you need to make a detour of 7-8 minutes in order to access the spots as you cannot make U turns easily.

La struttura si presenta molto ordinata e pulita con tutti i comfort presenti. L’Host molto gentile e disponibile. Ti senti come in casa propria, la posizione è ottima, ti trovi sul lungomare di Catania e hai un ottimo risveglio con vista sul mare. Se vuoi stare comodo, sotto casa trovi locali per hamburger, pizza o un bar che ha praticamente tutto e nonostante tutto, la zona è molto silenziosa.
