MUMIAN Hangzhou

Mumian Hangzhou – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt I came to Hangzhou for a two-day event in this hotel and stayed at Mumian Hangzhou for 5 nights, part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the hotel. It is beautiful in a very understated way- simple, modern and well designed, with a sense of quality without feeling overly grand or crowded. For me, it has that nice balance where you get the standards and refinement you would expect from a good international hotel group, but in a more relaxed and approachable setting. The location is also a big plus. The hotel is in Qianjiang Century City, right beside the Qiantang River. Across the river is Qianjiang New City, one of Hangzhou’s main CBD areas, so you get a beautiful contrast between the quieter side where the hotel is and the impressive city skyline across the water. There is a large shopping mall (China Resources MixC World) right next door, with plenty of restaurants, shops and outdoor spaces. I also enjoyed seeing so many young local pet lovers bringing their dogs and cats out around the outdoor dining areas in the evening — it gave the neighbourhood a very lively but relaxed atmosphere. For getting around, it is extremely convenient. The Metro station is just a short walk away from the mall, and the hotel is connected through the mall. Taking the Metro to West Lake and airport is also quite convenient. Otherwise Didi taxi service is convenient to get around. What I particularly liked was that although the hotel is close to everything I needed, it doesn’t feel like you are staying right in the middle of the busiest part of the city. It feels quieter, more spacious and nicely separated from the traffic and crowds.

The decor was very modern and newly renovated. It was very clean too.

We didnt notice that the toilet door was only frosted ij the middle which means to say that the person could be visible. Everything was nicely renovated but missing the final touch of thoughtfulness and warmth. Ie the taps turn anti clockwise (which is counter intuitive) / there's no hook inside the shower etc.

酒店本處較偏地段，配套設施及服務應該更豐富，來個SPA或是沐足這樣商務出差就不用再往外跑了
