This stone cottage provides the quintessential Cotswold experience in Bourton on the Water. It has wooden beam ceilings, stone walls and a cozy vibe. It is not large, but still offers a sitting room, dining table and sizeable kitchen with all the amenities you need, including a combination washer dryer and dishwasher. We were provided with a few welcome goodies upon our arrival. The decor is very well selected and the overall look is very pleasing and well done. It has a designer look to it that enhances the experience. The kitchen and bathroom have a lovely cottage core vibe. The bathroom is the first one on our trip so far that has a place to put your things by the sink. And the first one to provide a facecloth as well. Extra points! The cottage has a small back yard and is spread over three floors. The upper floors are accessible by an old, steep, narrow wooden staircase. There is one bedroom on the top floor, and a bedroom and bathroom on the second floor (1st floor to Europeans). The fireplace in the sitting room works. We had no trouble accessing the key from the box and getting in the cottage, but we did have trouble finding the cottage.

The cottage is on Bourton on the Water, a very busy and crowded village, The lanes that access the property are very narrow and there are cars parked on many of them. It was difficult to locate Jasmine Cottage. From the street all you see is a blank wall and parked cars in front of the gate obscure the name. We did eventually find it, but clear directions and a more prominent sign that could be seen from the street would have been appreciated. There is little parking near the cottage because of all the other cars, and it is difficult to negotiate the narrow lanes. We did manage to park in front of the cottage, but it wasn't easy.

The location was awesome . The place was neat and clean with every amenity that we needed . Decor was beautiful with lots of cool things on display. The beds were very comfortable and the host was very helpful and responded quickly when we rang. Nice small garden which was perfect for sitting outside with a drink and our dog was safe as it was all enclosed. Very central to everything in Bourton on the Water. Would recommend using the offer of a parking spot for a small fee as parking is not easy in the village as it gets very busy.

Nothing really it was all great. Just a small suggestion - there was no mirror near a socket to use when drying your hair so that would be useful.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped characterful cottage with large bedrooms in a perfect location close to the centre of the village, the river, cafes and pubs.
