Some places just get it right. It’s not about a particular feature, the place just feels like home. This is one of them. It is in a lovely quirky old building and the space available is enormous. There are a lot of thoughtful details like a good coffee machine and various soaps and lotions in the bathroom. It’s a great neighbourhood. One block to the east you have eighth street with a huge array of places to eat and drink (Ed’s Bulletin is particularly good for breakfast) and the streets feel safe. We were working at the Folger library which is just over half a mile away and a pleasant walk. The Capitol and library of Congress aren’t much further. Finally - Kam! We were lucky enough to meet him and enjoy his company. This is a man in love with Washington and his enthusiasm is infectious. He is a walking encyclopedia of things to see, do, eat and drink. I think his character spreads into the accommodation. I travel too much for work and it is wonderful occasionally to find a place like this.

We didn’t want to leave!

The location is absolutely perfect, the apartment is on the second floor. Stylish. It reminded me the theatre’s stuff. Pretty spacious studio . Fully packed with everything what you need for life

I would add kettle for tea (it’s my personal preference). And also it’s personal. The ceiling was bit lower (it’s pretty normal) just I am used to living in facility where ceiling are about 3m. Other cases are good

The location is ideal, the apartment was wonderful and I also appreciated the steamer provided. The house is so charming and the bed was very comfortable.

NA

-great location -good value

-thin walls, kept hearing people walk /do stuff upstairs which woke me up -short bathroom door clearance, taller people can bang their head (as I did) -pillow is not comfortable
