Marco, the owner, met us at the property to welcome us and show us around. He did his very best to give us recommendations of places to see, including giving me a lift to the local market to stock up on food (a bit of task if done on foot in very hilly Funchal). The property is spacious, with good size bedrooms, very clean and ample natural light. We very much enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the balcony, admiring the views. The house is in a neighbourhood, not in a touristic spot - ideal for us that were keen to enjoy life as a local for a few days. We made a habit to have delicious cakes and coffee at the local coffee shop every day (great prices, too), on the way to the centre, observing how the locals interacted and went about their day. Marco also organised transport (at a reasonable cost) to and from the airport with one of his cousins - Marcos, a lovely guide and tempered driver, who also organises tours across the island. We didn't see Marco much, but we certainly knew he'd be there for anything we needed and him and Marcos (and most of the other locals from Madeira we met) made us feel very safe, looked after and we came away with particularly fond memories, with the intention to return in the future.

The descent from the house towards the centre is for the first stretch on roads without pavements - a thrilling experience on very hilly roads with wacky racers kind of driving. (This could be avoided, I guess, by using a bus - number 15, I think.)

La ubicación perfecta, cerca del aeropuerto, cerca para coger las carreteras principales y con una panadería cerca. Las habitaciones y camas cómodas. La cocina con todo lo necesario. Una terraza para aprovechar las cenas en las noches con la familia. Además en el parking tenía lavadora, secadora y un espacio para poder limpiar y dejar los zapatos sucios cuando veníamos de las rutas. La verdad que el alojamiento perfecto y la comunicación con el anfitrión también. Lo recomiendo sin duda. Todo muy limpio y espacioso. Y la zona super tranquila.

Quizás el parking un poco estrecho, mejor un coche pequeño porque hay que maniobrar mucho. Y había muchos mosquitos.

Bardzo mily apartament. Prywatny parking na terenie apartamentu, z tarasu widok na ogrod bananowy i avokado, dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. Wygodne sypialnie i praktyczne. Samochodem szybki dojazd do sklepu, pod domem przystanek autobusowy.

Mieliśmy problem z klamkami w pokojach i łazience. Musieliśmy je rozkręcić bo zatrzasnął się pokój. Klamki były juz zepsute jak przyjechalismy, a personel odpisał, że przed naszym przyjazdem wszystko było ok. To było troche denerwujące.

Éramos 6 chicas y el agua caliente era limitada para una ducha completa cada una
