Glorias Panglao Inn 1

I can already say the other reviews are completely accurate. This was the best stay I've ever had. Justin and his friend were wonderful throughout my entire visit. I decided at the last minute to go to Panglao and booked the hotel less than 24 hours before arriving, yet I was made to feel extremely welcome. Justin helped me plan my stay by booking tours and negotiating prices on my behalf. This allowed me to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of the island and the kindness of the Filipino people. I highly recommend this place as the base for exploring Panglao. Justin and his friend also run tours themselves, so that's worth keeping in mind when planning your trip. Thank you again for such a memorable stay!

Bring cash. Cards aren't accepted on the island except at restaurants, so you'll need cash for outdoor sites and activities. The room is also fairly basic, with few amenities, but the team is always available and happy to provide whatever you need. Globally, everything was great!

Absolutely fantastic staff! Justin went above and beyond in offering to drop you places, which was really helpful especially in rainy season. Great conversations were had along the way. Actually, the entire staff were fantastic, kind and helpful. I loved the daily breakfasts, often being offered fresh coconut from the tree. Nothing but good vibes were to be had. Loved the location, this was a sweet humble tropical place away from tacky Alona beach. Easy access to White and Dumaluan beaches (much better than Alona). Yes the rooms are small - that's just how it is. It's worth it for the price. The AC was really fine and appropriate (very important!). Comfortable bed. Clean. I was really pleased I picked this place.

Rooms are small - that can't be helped. There are shelves and places provided in the room to put belongings which helps. I spent 5 nights here and coped very well with this. Not a big issue.

We absolutely LOVED Gloria’s! It was such a cozy stay and it truly felt like home. With such a beautiful design and atmosphere, it was a peaceful oasis. Waking up to complimentary breakfast amongst all the plants was a joy. The proximity to the beach was unmatched. You can’t go wrong with White Beach and what made everything even easier was the free shuttle provided by Gloria’s. It helped us not only get to the beach, but to the main town to Alona! We are so thankful to have stayed here with such lovely people on staff who took care of us so well and we will miss our time here and hope to come back!

There are two separate sets of rooms, located a few minutes apart down the road, both of which are well appointed and well run. Our room was very clean (and I am fussy) and the bed was comfortable with two sets of pillows. The bathroom was very clean and the shower hot with good pressure. Nothing was too much for Justin and his team. They answered all our questions and went out their way to assist. We really appreciated Tita’s warmth and good cooking. She arranged for our washing to be done (150 pesos for a load, and it came back spotless, folded neatly and smelling amazing). It was my husbands birthday while we were there and everyone helped arrange a surprise for him. Justin arranged a fabulous mango cake which was delicious! There is water you can refill your bottles for free. We always take earplugs when travelling in Asia because of noise at night, and even though it was very quiet at night, there was one rooster that got his timings wrong, so we had to use the earplugs. Par for the course in Asia. There is a shop a stones throw away where you can get provisions of beer and bread rolls etc. There is also a local restaurant that serves the most amazing home cooked Filipino food and it is very cheap. We never paid more than $15AUD for a huge meal for two people including drinks. We had a scooter for getting around on but there are plenty of tuk tuks and other options for transport.
