Great, other than the fact that we were not able to utilize the outdoor pool. Only found out after the fact and we were already there for our stay.

Hotel is outdated and not once did housekeeping offer to clean the room the entire 6 days! Booked through Expedia and I’m sure we got the worst room they had and they refused to trade it even though they had plenty of rooms available! The best part was the proximity of the beautiful clean beach. Would choose a different hotel next time.

The space of the rooms is nice. However it smelled very musty. Seems to need a few updates. The room we got was supposed to be an "ocean view" instead we faced buildings and had to go to another corner of the room to get somewhat sight of the ocean. The property in general was a bit outdated.

We can all find the negatives but I wanted to remain positive and well it was a place to get some sleep and For the life of me don't understand why the mattress bed and pillows were just uncomfortable and the bottom of bed was hanging torn. The towels were stained, its just sad. I guess I expected more for the money and condos but unfortunately we will not be staying there ever again. Just fyi bring own towels, coffee filters, coffee and although it states Keurig it was a Mr Coffee regular coffee maker. I came prepared with k cups called down to front desk and told I could go to the store. Not very nice. I took before and after pics just in case because this particular condo was not up to date at all. Wish I could say anything positive but...only positive was the area, adventures, and restaurants. Needless to say we did not spend much time in the condo.

For the price It was OK. Do not go through a 3rd party, like Expedia, when making reservations. The resort itself treats you like a second class customer. Any requested changes are met with destain by Expedia Customer Service and virtually no assistance is provided by resort staff. TVs were initially unusable as was the phone. Not enough towels are provided. The staff at the bar and grill, Rosadas, were extremely friendly and a pleasure to interact with, refreshingly efficient.

The condo itself was horrible. The owners need to really update room #1016. Bed was hard. Furniture upholstery was extremely soiled. Limited TV channels. I will not be using Expedia again.

As soon as I walked in our room there was a roach crawling down the wall, could not get the living room TV to work and the door to the fire extinguisher was locked. The front desk made me feel stupid when expressing my concerns. I had to call for a can opener because the ones we had in the room would absolutely not work. They told me house keeping was gone for the day and would be in the morning so I had to go purchase one. They never brought us one. The air conditioning was very poor. I expressed several concerns and the fact that I was really disappointed and they just dismissed me. I spent a lot of money to have thanksgiving on the beach and a mini vacation that turned into a big disappointment.

It was a great experience at the Sun Destin beach resort. The only issue is we thought we ordered a full view of the sea and was told it would be a full view. The resort stated the sea view was only a coastline view (partial view) of the sea. The resort advised we should have chosen a gulf view but it was not available at the time of purchase in September and we thought we were receiving the gulf view but was misinformed. We spoke to Hotels.com and they provided us with a 200.00 coupon toward our next stay. Overall, it was still a great resort and would go back again.The resort was close to restaurants, mall and the beach. I would recommend the resort but Hotels.com website should describe the rooms better.

If you read any reviews on this property please read mine. I drove 12 hours to spend my 55th birthday with my daughter at this “resort.” We were told we were on the first floor, not even the 2nd or 3rd floor and that we had to go outside to reach our room. I paid over $200 a night for Unit 103. I walked inside and had tears in my eyes. There was a Walmart plastic bin for our belongings, no comforter for the bed or pullout sofa, seams falling off the shabby lamps, mismatched cheap and filthy furnishings you would not even purchase at a thrift store. No ocean view as promised. In fact, you couldn’t even see the beach. The outdoor bar was closed. The room had a Cheeto on the floor and hair from the last guest. I immediately complained. I was told I would have to wait. There were holes all over the Matress pad on the pull out. My daughter talked me into staying and I went and got groceries the next morning. I went to get a glass and the cabinet door literally fell off. I went back to the front desk with images. A manager came down and I showed him the disgusting images. He offered to have maintainence fix the problem that day and refund me one night. I agreed. By noon the next day when nothing was repaired I stopped a second manager. She said it would immediately be taken care of. Our belongings were still in suitcases on the floor as there was no appropriate place to keep them. We walked in to two unannounced or requested house keeping staff hastily working, one on crutches. My

The room I booked was not the room received. Upon addressing with frontdesk I was quickly told that through a 3rd party they don't have anything to do with it so told me to call Expedia. Was on phone for hours and hours, two days later was partially refunded and charged for the first night. The property charged me taxes and fees for 4 days when I only stayed 1. We left quickly to a different place. Don't even consider staying at this outdated, nasty , dungy , musty smelling, and not to talk about the customer service no matter where you booked the room. Don't do it. My friend and her husband stayed the same time booked through someone else and their place was worse than ours. Our room had missing paint on wall , cracked wood, no batteries in remotes, dishwashers was on and running when we arrive and kept running till we left. Just a sad excuse for a RESORT. We stayed the rest of my vacation at the Home2 from Hilton and it was perfect, staff was AMAZING, free breakfast and in walking distance to the beach. Expedia shame on you for switch and bait your hotel rooms. sea view is not partial room

Love this place. It is right on the beach and everyone is so nice. The condo we stayed in was nice and had a really good stocked kitchen. I have stayed here the last two vacations and will stay here next year.

It was our first time in Destin and we were very happy with the accommodations and the area. We do wish however, that the outdoor tiki bar was open and playing music.

The unit needs a thorough cleaning, especially the bathrooms and bedroom. Carpet in bedroom was dirty as well as the bathroom floors and toilets. Also, updating of bathrooms....very old fashioned.
Unit did not look anything that we thought we were renting. Bedroom was so small. No room for night tables....shelves in walls to put night time essentials.
Problem with tv last 2 days. However, maintenance did come promptly to fix, although tv didn't work that same night after coming home from dinner.
On the plus side, the view from the balcony was beautiful and the kitchen was stocked with all essentials. Kitchen best room in condo.
You could tell this unit, 1410, had a lot of use and needs certain TLC.

First impression was good, but after checking in after a very long drive (and ready for bed) I was instructed to speak with the concierge at the desk. While listening to what seemed like a normal spill about things to do in the area, I was informed of a tour at one of the other hotels in the area and about a chance to receive a $250 Visa card for listening to what sounded an awful lot like a “time share” program. The first night was decent, a little muggy in the room, but overall everything looked nice. We didn’t do a whole lot of touring of the room. Now in day two and found a couple of roaches crawling around the unit. Spoke with someone down stairs at the main desk and they basically brushed me off. I get that maintenance is off and can’t come in until the next day, but at least don’t make it seem like it’s a common thing to have pests in the units. If we ever come back to Destin, it won’t be here. Approximately $300 a night and all I get is a , “Just let us know if you see any more.” This may not be the case for all of the units, but it just happened to be the one that we stayed at. The photo shown on the Hotels.com website did not match the unit that we stayed in which was concerning. It’s one of the main reasons for choosing the property. Other than that, the bed was comfortable.

I had an amazing time everyone was so nice and helpful wii definitely come back the only thing is the elevators were extremely hot and the hallways was also hot and could use more lighting..l

The room was smelled mus-tee.
The dish washer would not cycle. I turned it on and came back 4 hours later and it was still running.
The hot water was on the cold side of the faucet. I didn't think we had hot water.
The TV was a nightmare to work.
The garbage disposal had a bucket under it.
For the price we paid we should not have had to deal with all of these issues.

NEVER and I mean NEVER rent from Travelscape (owner). They are a third party that lists rentals on VRBO. We rented online, paid in advance as was required, when my family arrived the day of check-in, with NO PRIOR WARNING, the condo had been overbooked and was not available. Ended up having to scramble to find a place to stay and paid almost DOUBLE for last minute booking. I only asked for Travelscape or VRBO to split the difference of the increase in cost, but have not heard back from anyone. I am doubtful they will do this, even though they should have covered the intire increase for booking last minute somewhere else! So disappointing!
