I would not recommend this property.

There was very little to like about this property.

The smell in the hallway, and in the apartment, of stale cigarettes, damp, and mustiness is overwhelming. There is no place to pull in off the road, and drop your bags, if you are driving. It is a busy road going into the City. On street parking is a 2 hour max duration and is not pay and display, you have to ring a number or have a disc (home owners permit I think). It is also on a one way system, so you have to drive around a loop each time if you miss a spot. Kent Station is nearby and it is €8.50 to park your car overnight. It's a good 10 minute walk back to the apartment if you're bringing bags with you. The train runs directly behind the house, and the noise of it as it brakes coming into the station, is extremely loud and constant. When we arrived we could not get in. We tried to ring the Host who didn't respond. This was at 5pm, and not late at night. Eventually they responded by email, rather than calling me back as requested. We had to figure out why the door wouldn't open (another person staying had accidently jammed the door). We stood outside for some time, before another guest came along and phoned someone inside to let us all in. The apartment is on the top floor, and is very dated with old windows and doors. It overlooks a very rough area with a back yard and the train tracks. This area seems to contain a lot of apartments, and there were people with addiction issues on the street, and sitting in doorways. The price we paid for one night is too expensive for the location, and the overall condition of the building. You can't get past the awful smell of both the hallways, and the apartment, and it's a very poor first impression on entering. The room itself was tidy, as was the bed linen and towels.

Good choice when spending time in the city

Nice accommodation, a little bit pricey for the size of it and the location from the city center, but quite nice. The general state of the place was correct, but the general agencement of the appartement is not really practical. When in need of a place to sleep while travelling and visiting, this is totally acceptable, especially if you spend your time outside.

Good location for our stay but needs basic facilities sorted out to match the price.

Location was handy for us as we had a wedding to attend over the bank holiday weekend and it was near Cork City and the motorway.

The bathroom shower has a major leaking problem the whole place was soaked after one shower. The bathroom needs to be brought up to a decent standard before this should be made available to customers. Too much caulking over issues that clearly need be addressed. The floor is spongey from what must be many leaks. Had to wear flip flops in and out as the floor was gross. The apartment itself has a damp smell and needs a general do over just to make it feel clean. €300 is far too much for two nights in a substandard room. I’d avoid and book a hotel or B&B.

Room was very small. Hot water service in shower & kitchen hopeless.

The location was convenient if a little distant to the centre of Cork.

The instructions about how to get to the property from the train station were misleading and confusing. It is simply a matter of crossing the road turning right and walking x metres.

La anfitriona fue muy amable y me dejó poder entrar un poco antes a dejar las maletas, la cama era muy cómoda y había todo lo necesario.

Por poner una pega el ruido de cada vez que pasaba el tren, pero por la ubicación es lo que tiene.
