The apartment is beautifully renovated, bright and spacious, with hip, fresh décor. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable for our family. The beds and pillows were super comfy. The kitchen is well designed too — a dish rack that actually works day to day, and a built-in washing machine. What set it apart was the welcome. Marco had prepared juices, coffee pods, paper towels and other small essentials. Many stays barely provide anything — here every detail was considered. We also met Marco’s mom and dad, who help him run the apartments — the nicest people. One day we had forgotten the fob, and Marco’s mom happened to be driving behind us and opened the gates with hers. When we left, Marco’s dad thanked us and we had a quick chat. That easy warmth is the real Calabrian hospitality: genuine, family-like, and never overdone. They were unobtrusive the whole time; we were never bothered, and it felt so private — like a villa stay of our own. What we really liked: beach towels ready to go, a dishwasher that made daily life easy, and excellent air conditioning — in every room and even in the hallway. After hot beach days that made a real difference. Parking was amazing — right in front of the building. We barely used the car, though, because we could walk everywhere. Lido Calypso was about a 12-minute walk and, for us, had the best beach and the best restaurant. In the evenings we walked into the old town. We drove once to Grotticelle Beach, which was also good, but parking was €25 a day, so we only went once. Location, comfort and hospitality all lined up. We would stay here again without hesitation.

I have never written a review before but this apartment really deserves it! It feels so much more like a home than just a rental property. It has so many extra touches that make it quite exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

Absolutely nothing.

The combination of exceptional facilities and remarkable hospitality makes Le Palazzine one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. This meticulously renovated apartment is in a beautiful building which used to house railway workers. It is furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard with extra touches that we haven’t seen anywhere else from use of a printer to use of a beach bag & magnetic shoe horn! There is a tv in the kitchen, both bedrooms & in the large living room where there are also video consoles. There is plenty of natural light and the rooms are all large with high ceilings – all stylishly presented with artworks & decorative items which make it feel more like a home you could spend a great deal of time in. Steps down from the kitchen lead to a good sized garden with loungers and table & chairs - there’s even an outdoor shower! You can help yourself to fresh herbs and pick lemons from the tree. The kitchen itself is super modern with induction hob, dishwasher & washing machine and plenty of supplies to make meal preparation easy. Marco was super communicative and his lovely father Pino went out of his way to help us with a problem we had with our car. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and would love to return for a longer stay one day.
