Charming apartment a few meters from a beach with crystal clear waters
L'appartamento Calarossa è ubicato nel quartiere monumentale dell'isola di Ortigia, direttamente sulla spiaggia di Cala Rossa, nota per le sue acque cristalline, e a pochi passi da piazza Duomo, dalla Fonte Aretusa e dal Castello Maniace . Nei dintorni ci sono i più rinomati ristoranti e bar. Pur essendo situato nella zona più viva di Ortigia l'appartamento è molto silenzioso e potrete godere di un sonno ristoratore ascoltando solo il rumore delle onde della caletta sottostante. L'appartamento si trova in un edificio completamente ristrutturato che risale alla fine del 1800 e si compone di due camere da letto matrimoniali, ciascuna con bagno en suite, di un soggiorno con angolo cottura completamente accessoriato e di un piccolo studio annesso ad una delle due camere. Gli affreschi liberty delle volte, gli antichi pavimenti in cemento decorato e l'arredamento classico con alcuni pezzi di antiquariato danno un tocco di originalità. Tutti gli ambienti sono climatizzati ed è presente la connessione wi-fi. Fornito di ogni confort ( TV, wi-fi, phon, frigo con freezer, forno, bollitore, macchina caffè, biancheria), l'appartamento può ospitare sino a quattro persone.

Clean , well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds - excellent location - we were travelling with another couple and each had own lovely bathrooms. Would recommend this apartment highly. Only downside is a lot of stairs which was fine with us but might be an issue for those with mobility issues.

This apartment is literally 10 meters from the water. Unfortunately, it does not have a view, but we weren't in the apartment long enough to worry about it. We walked out the door and were met with an astounding view and were able to walk around the historical center with ease. The place is situated in the historical center which makes it difficult to find. The GPS gets confused whenever we try to find a place in the middle of the old town, so it was not much use. The directions to get to the apartment were confusing and there were not many signs to tell you what street you were on. We finally found one of the parking places that we had been directed to, but had to call and the owner came and got us since we could not figure out where the place was. We later found out the the other parking area is the one that has taxis and buses, so we should have parked there! Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the place we should have parked at, so clarify before going. The place itself is absolutely perfect!! It has everything you need and is very clean and cute. We could have stayed here forever!! Be warned, however, that it is on the third floor so keep your luggage light!! I would definitely stay here again for location, price, and quality.

Fantastic location in a beautiful old city. Not too far from a place with a sandy beach too. The owner is very nice and helpful. The apartment has great style-old with all the modern facilities. On the downside, there are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment which with a baby and some heavy suitcases can be a bit tiring. Also, we missed a bath and a few other things like a sharp knife or oven mits. The owner kindly provided us with a high chair and a cot for the baby however. Overally, it was a very pleasant stay!
