The Safron Hotel

Good location, friendly staff, polite house keepers Clean and functional public spaces. Safe in rooms for storage of important properties.

Expensive room rate for the space i was alloted, the ward robe was not closing and the left side drawer was not closing and even with the attendant service person reviewing this it was not fixed. Hand towel was not supplied which meant that freqent furniture reviews are not routinely done here. The hot water in the morning may take time to get hot enoigh to have a decent shower. A first time that I had to sign an undertaking to keep the house towels clean other wise there will be.

Breakfast was great - many options.

The only complaint I have is that I was not informed that I had a different room for the first night and needed to move rooms the next day. I was out for the whole day and was contacted by phone saying I needed to move my things so the room could be prepared for the next person booked in. I couldn't do this as I was with a tour party and miles away. If I had been told informed of this earlier it wouldn't have resulted in a stressful day for me and an inconvenience to the hotel staff.

Everything from the staff to services, amenities…and the food selections… although i didn’t get ‘pap’ in the menu… jokes! They actually told me they could make anything I wanted that wasn’t on the offering… that’s marvellous!!! The honest truth is that, The Safron is relatively well comparable to The Marriott… so clean, quiet and homely. I stayed in Marriott for 5 nights after checking out from here but si still think I enjoyed my stay more at Safron. I’m a Gold Marriott member.. so I should know better. Coming back sometime next year… hope you maintain the standard.
