The location of Thorndene is fantastic because it has the benefit of being outside the village of Hope while also being more accessible via train. Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. And the breakfasts were wonderful! With a dairy allergy, I honestly never know what to expect when I'm traveling in Britain, but the hosts accommodated my dietary preferences really well.

Thorndene was like a home away from home but with a luxurious feel. Diane and John made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed homemade carrot cake on arrival. That was such a lovely touch. We wanted to stay an extra night at Thornndene, but there were no vacancies and John gave us the name of a local B&B that he recommended where we stayed. We loved everything about Thorndene and will be back next time we are in the area.
Everything was outstanding and wonderful!
