The location in Nea Chora is five minutes away from the beach. An easy 15 minute walk leads to the harbour and old town. This is a complex of two apartment buildings around a central courtyard, which has chairs and tables to sit outside when the weather is nice. The hosts are very efficient and at the property all day, cleaning and helping guests with tours, parking etc. This is a residential area that feels very safe. There are a number of bakeries and supermarkets close by.

The ground floor studio apartment is a small (and relatively dark) bedroom with a kitchen sink, small fridge, and electric plate cooker. There is a kettle to heat water but no coffee machine, microwave, toaster, or ovenproof dishes to even heat up the savory pastries the hosts leave occasionally. I.e. the "kitchen" is very sparsely furnished and not properly functional (even scissors are missing). The other negative aspect is that the TV has Greek channels only. The matrass was rather hard, the pillows seemed decades old, as were the rugs left in the bathroom. Last but not least, it was rather noisy at night, since people are sitting and talking in the courtyard right in front of the apartment if the weather is nice.

Wspaniały pobyt! Świetnie zarządzane przez przemiła Panią, ale również Pani dbająca o porządek była przemiła i niezwykle solidna! Bardzo czysto, a na miejscu jest wszytko czego potrzeba a nawet więcej! Wynajmowaliśmy studio na parterze. Bardzo prywatnie i czuliśmy się tu wyjątkowo. Bardzo przyjemna strefa do posiedzenia na podwórku. Zwiedziłam Świat, ale tak dobre wrażenia zostawiła tylko garstka hotelarzy- to jest jeden z nich!

Our stay at Villa Katerina was absolutely wonderful! First of all, a huge thank you to the lovely and incredibly helpful host, who took great care of us throughout our entire stay. We will especially remember her delicious homemade pastries, which she would surprise us with from time to time – such a thoughtful and lovely gesture! ❤️ The apartment is small but more than sufficient – we had everything we needed. It was spotlessly cleaned every day, and the excellent ventilation and air conditioning ensured our comfort throughout our entire stay. Another big plus was the frequent change of towels and bed linen. The location is perfect – close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the old port. Everything is easily accessible on foot. On top of that, the value for money is absolutely fantastic. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place. ❤️ We couldn’t have chosen better!
