Wonderful new apartment! one of the bedroom has shades (which is not common in other apartments in Japan), which was great because it enables to have the room dark when the Sun rises at 4:30 a.m.
The host was great, he left us soap for washing machine which we needed after 3 weeks traveling (great washing machine and dryer!). The apartment seems new or newly renovated and very comfortable. Also location is excellent 8 minutes walking from Kyoto train station and nearby buses stations, lots of restaurants in the area and it is very quiet.
