Great location, loved being on the front row with the amazing views of the bay and ships lined up to get in and out of the port. Conveniently located to nearby restaurants

We gathered to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday with family. Plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub and the close proximity to the beach. The house was very clean. All-in-all it was a very enjoyable stay.

First of all, this is a wonderful, wonderful property. Beautiful house, beautiful ocean view (the views from every room are AMAZING!), and close to just about everything you'd want to be close to in Galveston. This review would have been five stars across the board for the property alone. Absolutely, 100% five stars. Unfortunately we did encounter some disappointments during our stay... The fireplace didn't work. This wouldn't have been so bad, but Texas was just finishing up a cold snap. The weather was freezing and so was the house when we got there. To the management's credit, they sent someone out on Christmas Eve to help us. (Kudos to the tech who came!) However, we had called days ahead to make certain the house would be warm for us when we arrived. Bringing our elderly parents with us, this was a serious concern. It was chilly in the house when we got there and it wasn't warming well. We had to wear sweaters and jackets indoors the first 24 hours of our stay. We went to use the jacuzzi only to find the cover off, the water freezing cold, and the bottom filthy. We notified the management company about this as well, and they came out and eventually cleaned it. However, they didn't notify us that they'd done this, so we didn't realize the jacuzzi had been cleaned until the very last day we were there. (And we're still not sure exactly WHEN the cleaning happened.) We arrived to a puddle of water on the kitchen floor from (what we assume was) the wine fridge. We had to clean that up. Also, we found used, moldy coffee grounds still packed into two of the coffee makers, which was not a pleasant surprise to say the least. Again, most of this hit us on arrival. But overall, we really enjoyed the place. The house was perfect for our large group. Perfect also for its spectacular beach views and access. Sadly, it just didn't feel like the place had been prepped with care. If they shored that up, it'd be hands down the ideal vacation spot for anyone looking for a luxury beach experience in Galveston.

We had a wonderful stay at East Island Villa. It is a beautiful, spacious, clean and well-equipped home. We had a multi-generational group of family and the home had enough space for us all to enjoy being together as well as privacy. The large double living room was wonderful for everyone to spend time together in the evenings. The elevator was wonderful for elderly grandparents in the group. The kids in the group enjoyed the hot tub which was clean and heated when we arrived. The home has beautiful ocean views and the dune walkover next to the home was extremely convenient. We would love to book this home again in the future. Communication with Victory Vacations via VRBO was clear and easy as well!

The jacuzzi wasn't working, the kitchen water dispenser leaked all over the kitchen floor and a 8x4' ceiling board fell right on top of one of my guests! Maintenance was called and all but the ceiling was addressed

East Island Villa is an upscale property with a wonderful view of the Gulf. It is well located in the community and is beach front. The home is well maintained with a spacious open living area leading to a comfortable porch with ample seating for open air dining or relaxing. The living quarters are not designed for too many non-family adults. Good planning is required to figure out proper sleeping arrangements. Six or seven adults and four to five children would work. The Jack & Jill bathroom and adjoining bedrooms are very small and not exactly suitable for four adults. Do not overpopulate this house!! The third-floor bathroom is very small but well suited for children. The fourth floor is spacious but has no bathroom or shower. Again, children or teens may enjoy sleeping in this area. The rental management company was very prompt in handling any issues. We found Brittany to be a very good problem solver. Mindful of the above comments this is a very good vacation home, and you will love it.

Reviewer Comments: Our extended family of 13, ranging from 1 yr to 69, had a great stay at this beautiful home over Easter. While the home is large and lovely, and clean inside, there were a couple of big drawbacks. There is no usable grill of any kind at this home - we were told by Victory Vacations that there was a gas grill - there is not. A beach house without a grill?? The inside of the hot tub cover had not been cleaned in a long time - it was quite moldy, and very yucky. The outside of the deck windows were also a mess - had not been cleaned in a very long time - it really interfered with the ocean view from inside the house. I immediately notified Victory Vacations that they needed cleaned, and they said they would send someone over ASAP. They never did - I actually bought windex the next morning after checking in - and spent quite some time cleaning them myself, they were so annoying. Also, there are NO baking dishes at this house - no casserole dishes, no 13x9 pans - but probably cocktail glasses for 50. We had planned on cooking for the entire 5 days we were there, so we ended up buying a ton of disposable foil baking pans. What a waste. We would only return if there was a gas grill, and a better stocked kitchen - it was that much of a downer for our big family. Again, big beautiful home, but annoying problems that should not exist at this price point!

We have visited Galveston for 25 years and traditionally have stayed on the West end in the various neighborhoods. Recently, we began visiting the East End and find the location more convenient to the town and restaurants.
