Warm and friendly welcome to a lively town pub in a central location, close to a variety of nice shops anx the Minster. A convenient car park, comfortable bed. I took a single room, but it was perfectly adequate for one. Well explained entry and exit arrangements. I didn't try the menu.
A small amount of smoke entered the bedroom from the outdoor area below. I nearly shut the window so not a problem. A bit noisy until around 10.00.

Nice welcome, Friendly staff.
Stayed as a couple. Only one cup, one face towel and one bath towel. By the time we noticed it was to late to get it sorted. Not the staffs fault, however was kept awake by a woman and friends party who were allocated next door, which continued until approx 3am. I did complain to those occupants, but to drunk to care. No staff around on check out to pass on the above points.
