Dartmoor Inn Merrivale

Good good, friendly staff

Booked an en suite room but bathroom was across the hallway.

Beautiful location, fantastic food and service. The rooms weee immaculately clean.

Comfortable mattress, king size bed, parking right by our room, great food

Slight noise from the road

Location good, FABULOUS FOOD, good bed/views, impossible “bathroom” with unusably tiny sink where you couldn’t avoid bumping your head every time you washed your face or brushed your teeth. No real hanging or storage space. Awful coffee from the bar. The evening meal of steak and fries was absolutely mouthwatering, HOWEVER what really was the pits was that after booking breakfast, we duly came downstairs at 9.25 next morning only to find the whole area deserted. Not a staff member to be seen, let alone kitchen staff. We had no option but to leave a note on the bar and depart.

Would have been good to have had the breakfast we booked plus the sink in the so called bathroom is a joke. And serve some decent coffee in the bar, it’s very important.
