Got a head start on the trail as this place is right on it up the hill a bit. Bed was comfy and dinner was great! Since I was leaving on the hike early they sent me with a packed lunch. The family was friendly, sons speak English and helped to coordinate everything because I only speak English.
I dont have any complaints. Getting there from town could be tricky, you might want to arrange with the hosts because a 4WD vehicle is needed and a taxi probably wouldnt take you. I happened to arrive and my bus driver pointed me to the older son of the family who owns the guesthouse, but if he hadn't been nearby it would have been a long uphill walk!

I loved the warm, welcoming atmosphere and how kind everyone was. The location is especially convenient if you’re hiking between Theth and Valbona, because staying in Rragam saves you some extra walking compared with going all the way into Valbona. The food was homemade, warm and delicious, breakfast was included, and there were plenty of options for dinner, drinks and even local raki. Also, the Wi-Fi was surprisingly good for such a remote mountain location, which was a huge bonus.
Nothing in particular. It’s a rustic mountain stay, which was exactly what I wanted, and I had a very good experience.

Lovely location forty five minute walk from end of asphalt road where you can arrange to get your bus to Schkoder at Hotel Fushe e Gjese.Much handier than possible long walk in to Valbona itself.Adorable dog in kennel behind outside toilet. Lovely soup. Spring water. Better to walk Theth to Valbona than vice versa as you are in the shade of a forest in the morning climbing up to the pass.Wi-Fi was okay.
You can only sit in the dorm or your chalet once it is too cold outside. Meals are expensive compared to Schkoder. A kettle should be available to make hot drinks. A mug of tea instead of a teacup of tea should be provided at breakfast so as to help warm you up.Adorable dog is chained up and wants company.
