The house is lovely and the bedroom and bathroom very tastefully decorated. The host's daughter greeted us, was very friendly and informative. Lovely touches like a bowl of fruit and snacks. Bed was very comfortable. Nice views out of the windows to the garden. Not far from the World Heritage sites of Newgrange and Knowth the prehistoric burial and ceremonial sites . Good wifi.
Bit of a drive to get a meal, especially when driving in unknown territory at night. This isn't an issue with the accommodation. We left fairly early and there wasn't hot water for the shower. We managed to have a shower. Not major issues at all.

Continental Breakfast was advertised which I was led to believe would be available but when I presented for Breakfast was told by the host no Breakfast- I could have tea and coffee in my room! Now as a complete stranger to the location on a Sunday morning out in “the middle of nowhere” in the countryside can you imagine how I felt! If Its only Bed that’s being offered that should be made very clear on the site
No signage was visible re the guest house location My sat nav took me to the wrong house by 2 When I finally located the residence I saw a small little sign saying Acrewooda house which was practically covered by greenery I did mention this to Val and he said a sign was in process of being procured.Another thing the idea of a shared Bathroom does not appeal to me meeting other guests first thing in the morning coming from the bathroom.
