There’s a fair bit to like about this apartment, but by far the best thing is the location. It is perfectly situated to enjoy the streetlife and restaurants of the Koukaki district, is a stone’s throw from Philopappos Hill, an easy 15min walk to the Acropolis museum and the south entrance to the main hill, and is well connected with the metro being 5mins away and several bus routes at the end of the street. Location aside, the apartment is very spacious and light, with many rooms. The aircon was new throughout, and the bedroom boasted a lovely comfy kingsize bed with clean linen. The shower was good with plenty of hot water, the kitchen was well equipped and large enough to cook in properly. There was a separate living/dining space and a large roof terrace (more on that in a minute tho). The communication from the agents was excellent throughout, being very responsive on both whatsapp and email.

Firstly, getting into the building was not easy. The agents sent a video but it failed to show the location of the key locker was two blocks away! And even with their direction over whatsapp it took a good 10 minutes to find the right location and the right locker – why not just put the key lockers on the wall by the entrance, not on a random railing in a square?! When we did manage to get in our first impression was marred by the somewhat dingy state of the living room. A large picture was hanging off the wall, the wall around the settee was all marked and the paint chipped and the settee itself was FILTHY. I mean really bad – covered in hair and bits of food and clearly it was not on the cleaner’s list of chores as it had not seen a vacuum in months. We had to cover it with spare sheets just to sit on it. The rest of the apartment was better, with exception to the bathroom which appears unfinished – the shower tray clearly leaks, and had some big blobs of silicone inexpertly applied but to little effect, and there was a gaping hole in the wall exposing the plumbing behind. The roof terrace, whilst vast, was unusable for much of the day as there is absolutely no shade. All the buildings in Athens have large roll out sun shades and this one used to, but they have long since broken and not been replaced. The result is that the terrace resembles a prison yard with nothing but bare concrete, steel railings and metal garden furniture – nothing comfortable to relax on and enjoy the benefit of having the terrace. We chose this apartment and paid a premium for its roof terrace, which in the end we couldn’t really use.

Tout est très simple, l’appartement est spacieux et possède tous les équipements dont on a besoin. L’appartement est situé à 1,3 kms de l’acropole, idéal pour y aller à pied, station de métro à 900m. Les propriétaires nous envoient des messages pour savoir si tout va bien et communiquent leurs coordonnées si besoin. Tout est propre. Un appartement très agréable avec une immense terrasse au dessus (mais vue sur les toits).

Sincèrement rien. C’est un centre ville donc il y a le bruit de la ville (mais rien de comparable à Paris) et la vue sur les toits.

The apartment has a great layout with a nice separation of the bedroom, lots of room and light with a giant terrace that has city/neighborhood views. Sitting on the terrace, the street noise was definitely noticeable, but once inside with the doors shut, it was VERY quiet. Furnishings were in good shape & comfortable. A large grocery store is just a couple blocks away and some neighborhood restaurants are close though we mostly ate closer to Acropolis Hill. The location is okay - neighborhood is fine though about a 30 min walk to the Acropolis area. We did take uber a couple times for 7-10eu when we were tired at the end of the day.

We had trouble finding the keybox. The codes and even a video were provided but we couldn't make sense of the video based on standing at the front door. The keybox is actually a couple of blocks away! It would have been helpful to know that and we suggested they add that info to the check-in email we received. Once we found the keys, access was easy. There are 2 a/c units but the one in the bedroom wasn't working - luckily we didn't NEED it, so didn't report it until we left. It took us a couple of texts to understand the hot water functioning, but once we understood, it worked perfectly.

Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter. Die Gegend ist gut, es ist in der Wohnung und auch in unmittelbarer Nähe alles vorhanden.

Beim Betreten des Hauses begrüßte uns jedesmal ein äußerst unangenehmer Geruch. Dieser war in der Wohnung nicht wahrnehmbar.
