Militiko

The place is really beautiful, with clean, well-kept, and stylishly decorated rooms. Downstairs on the ground floor, there is a shared kitchen and an outdoor area with a fantastic vibe and a really pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance you might need, along with coffee and essentials like salt, honey, sugar, and chocolate spread. Everything in the shared area was kept consistently clean and tidy. Having a private parking spot in the shaded courtyard was a huge bonus. The location is right in the center, yet very quiet with no noise to disrupt your sleep.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable and creaked quite a bit whenever you turned over during the night. Communication with the host was also a bit odd—when we arrived, locals were sitting outside but no one greeted us, so I had to send a message to announce our arrival. I never actually met the owner in person, and I even had to message them to ask if we could check out. Despite the slightly strange check-in experience, everything was resolved fine in the end and it didn't ruin our stay.

Militiko in Himarë is simply wonderful! It is run by a lovely couple whose hospitality truly stands out. The location is an absolute 10/10—just steps away from the beach and unbeatable if you are taking a boat tour, as departures from Spile Beach are literally a one-minute walk away. Parking is convenient and well-managed; while the lot can get a bit tight during peak season, they always manage to find a spot and have helpful staff on hand to guide you in smoothly. We were especially thrilled and grateful for their exceptional service—even during the busy peak season, they graciously accommodated both our early check-in and late check-out. They also provide beach towels! The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the well-equipped communal kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Despite our room being located right next to the kitchen, it was completely quiet with zero disturbance. Having stayed at a few different spots across South Albania, the air conditioning here was by far the most powerful and effective. Overall, an incredible stay and highly recommended!

My only nitpick is with the directions. The directions to the place were a bit confusing, so needed some time figuring out where the place was. I called them on WhatsApp and they immediately responded. But a sign board near Bocca Restaurant would be really useful.

This was a beautiful property with a lovely shared kitchen and social area. We loved the location. It was in the center of everything, but it was hidden so you didn’t feel or hear the busyness of the main area.

We were driving and the directions took us down some very tiny roads so that was a little stressful however, once we got there, there was plenty of room to park and it was a really cute area.
