Room was modern and clean. It's a few mins' walk to the seafront

At I Due Mori, the big drawback is noise. It comes from all angles. Because of the tile floors, it sounded like the occupant in the apartment above was wearing concrete boots. Worse, the Messina-Catania highway passes 2-3 metres outside the window. Further, rooms 1 and 2 are adjacent the front door which slams all hours of the day. It is impossible to relax at this property until the owners address these issues. Also, after booking and paying, the managers refuse to take calls, instead directing guests to message on WhatsApp. One response was literally one word. All this contributed to an unfriendly and impersonal stay. For a future visit, I would instead book a waterfront B&B well in advance.
