I am a single dad in Nebraska raising four kids by myself. Our yearly release is a family vacation to the Rockies. This year I wanted something special, something unique as this was our 8th year coming west. This property was the most beautiful, unique, breathtaking, memorable place I have experienced yet. Words cannot express how glorious this stay was. We had deer visible every morning. A fox. A moose. A few hummingbirds.

Beautiful mountain home off the beaten path with spectacular views!!! Everything we were looking for in a secluded mountain retreat!….Plenty of space and privacy, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, gas fire place indoors, a huge hot tub outdoors next to a fire pit, and a gas grill for preparing meals outdoors. Please note that a 4WD or AWD vehicle is necessary to navigate the roads and steep driveway to the home. It snowed a foot overnight in early May, but the property managers got a snow plow to us immediately in the morning! The property managers were also kind to offer us a late checkout or to extend our stay when we ran into flight delays. The only negative to this home would be the water quality and pressure. For people sensitive to water taste and smell, I would recommend bringing in bottled water. The water is high in iron/rust content….so be prepared for staining and deposits in all appliances/faucets including if you plan to do laundry. There is an extra filter in the fridge water dispenser and the hot tub seemed unaffected with its own chemicals. Overall, this is a fantastic mountain retreat with unbeatable views! Be prepared for the altitude at 10,800 feet and incredible wildlife….We saw 3 moose and a gray fox while visiting!!! We loved it!!!

I loved the mountain view, however i had to check out sunday instead of monday due to altitude

Great place with everything we could need. We did lose power the last day (not the owner’s fault), which did make it very cold and thus, we left early. It was a bummer but such is life.
