I only had one night at Bernie's but still I cannot be thankful enough. The fact that this is the home of this gentleman and his lovely wife and how they welcome you into their home is so much appreciated. I was also allowed to leave my bag there hours before check-in.The bed was really comfortable and the location is in a nice quiet part of Castlebar but still only a short walk from everywhere.
Thanks so much again and hopefully I'll be staying there longer next time.

The overall accommodation experience at Bernie's is fantastic. The moment I entered I felt welcomed into their home. The location is in the dead heart of Castlebar, so all the big bars and activities are just a mere minutes walk! Bernie is also great for a chat and can provide a lot of information surrounding the area.
Be careful with that ceiling in the upstairs hall, even tho I was told about it I still managed to get a awful bang off of it... being 6.1 could have been the problem tho...

Location was good. Owners patience because of train delay.
Bathroom facilities are not really ideal. Having to get into a bath to have a shower in this day and age not really good , too much noise from the road. other than that, the facilities were fine.
