This is beautifully located in a peaceful but convenient area. The property itself is surrounded by pine trees and olive groves, which is lovely. The pool area is the real gem: it’s clean, spacious and the pool itself is a great temperature. The house is well equipped, particularly the kitchen. It’s a lovely, rustic home with lots of Sicilian charm. We loved the added touches like a bowl of fresh fruit (we found lemons and figs growing) and lots of tea, coffee, bread, jam. Marco was in contact with us whenever we needed anything and he was a big help. It was really well placed; we could get to Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo in about ten minutes, and used it as a base to visit Erice, San Vito Lo Capo and Palermo before travelling east.

I couldn’t get the hair dryer or mirror light to work in the upstairs bathroom sporadically, and some lights seemed to flash or flicker before reaching full strength. Added to the rustic charm if anything!
