Provisions were left for us which we really appreciated & enjoyed (a small sourdough loaf, some choc chip cookies, a bottle of wine & other sundries. The pantry & cupboards were well stocked (though empty olive oil bottle). Bathroom supplies etc very good - including a tea pot & strainer which we loved. Heating laid on (we didn't need to use it as we got too hot!). A candle stick & candles for atmospheric lighting. The view was magnificent at any time of day, & ever changing - & the biggest drawcard as I have been wanting to stay in the Lettes Bay area for some time; fairly isolated & private, & yet close to Strahan too for fine dining & other activities. The duck welcoming committee were adorable & surprisingly well behaved. Other bird noises added to the charm. We were lucky enough to be there for a full moon - an absolute added bonus. Excellent Wi-Fi which allowed us to listen to things on our phones & keep in touch with the outside world.

We were surprised that there was no microwave - making it hard to heat up tea & meals etc. We usually use a heat pad for my partner's broken arm & neck issues so this was a shame to be without it for 4 days (he also found the bed too hard - though I didn't. I also loved the couch/day bed arrangement in the lounge with lots of cushions to enjoy the view - but he didn't find it comfortable. Personal tastes I suppose). My fault for not reading the fine print perhaps. Similarly, the claw foot bath. Whilst it might look nice & romantic for those of us with mobility issues or just generally getting a bit older, this was a chore & a bit of a safety risk. And without a handheld shower hose (which could easily be attached) bathing was an issue (though we appreciate that a jug was provided). The water was not very hot for a romantic bath for 2 anyway. We hadn't realised there was no tv either (not so much a problem as I'd taken our CD player/radio; & Wi-Fi allowed for phone internet options). When paying $350 a night for accommodation though, we did find that these kind of issues might be a bit much. We did stay for 4 nights though & we noticed from the Visitors Book that most people only stayed 1 or 2 nights. Overall though we did enjoy our stay in a very special part of Tasmania.

Mindful only a bath -a very special bath experience -so just to note no shower if access/ability/mobility an issue otherwise to beautiful little property

Very quiet, lots of friendly ducks. Bed was comfortable with nice linen.

No shower!! Also no parking outside the property so you park 25m away and end up walking through a bit of mud and dirt when it’s wet, also no floor mat inside so end up getting quite a bit of mud on the floor.
