Great location with an awesome pool.

My family had a wonderful time spending our Fourth of July weekend here! The location is fantastic - a very short walk to the Seawall and beach. Lots of businesses are within walking distance or a very short drive. I loved that we had driveway and street parking, especially during busy holiday weekend. My family enjoyed hanging out by the pool and also enjoying coffee and cold drinks on the front porch while we watched the world go by. The beds were so amazingly comfortable! The kitchen was perfectly equipped for all us. The house is "well-used" and could benefit from some updating, but that did not diminish our enjoyment. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. One thing the listing doesn't mention is the low ceilings in the bedrooms downstairs and the upstairs. The downstairs was perfect for our teens - they loved having their own kitchen and spa-like bathroom. But only small children would be comfortable in bunk-room and bathroom upstairs. The host was wonderful - very responsive to all my questions leading up to the trip and made sure we knew he was available at any time during our stay. He provided lots of helpful tips that made our stay easier and more enjoyable. Since this was our first time in Galveston, we greatly appreciated all the support.Overall, a beautiful, comfortable property in a fantastic location. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect for what we needed. The pool was the highlight since we didn't care for the beach area. The beach was muddy and full of debris. Mother nature to blame not the VRBO. They had a lot of extras that were useful. (high chair, coffee, spices, plenty of towels etc) The only downside to the home was that we were not expecting such low ceilings in the basement. We had people over 6ft tall staying with us that had to duck their head downstairs. Beautifully furnished and decorated but felt a little claustrophobic. Great area for kids.

We were very comfortable in the house and loved the pool. we used it constantly. The reason for the less than excellent rating was that there was a rodent in the house. Food that we left on the counter was eaten and needed to be thrown away and my granddaughter saw a rat/mouse. She's six so didn't know the difference. The owner said he sent someone over but he never let us know what was going on with getting rid of it.
