Beautifully decorated and in a lovely location. 14 minute drive from the nearest dog friendly beach which was great

WiFi issues but host was really lovely and helped sort it.

The cottage was lovely.,very comfortable and homely. .We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything about the cottage was explained and Sophie was friendly and helpful..We had a relaxing with our lab Stanley 😌

The w fy was hit and miss ,but if you moved around the signal would come and go .Understandable because of the area, it wasn't a problem. The garden furniture just needed a clean and around the kitchen door too..

Unfortunately, this cottage did not live up to the description or expectations created by the listing. The parking situation was disappointing. The parking area is not as spacious as might be assumed from the description, with neighbours’ vehicles immediately adjacent on both sides, there is parking further down the road. The access to the garden is also extremely steep and, in reality, much less straightforward than the photographs/description suggest. The biggest issue, however, was the road noise. Traffic was travelling at considerable speed throughout the day and night, and the noise was so intrusive that heavy vehicles and speeding traffic could actually be felt shaking the property. This significantly affected our stay and is something I feel should be made much clearer in the listing. There were also a number of issues with the condition and preparation of the cottage. Food had been left in the freezer by previous guests. The log burner had not been emptied or cleaned before our arrival. The complimentary logs consisted largely of garden twigs and some logs that were not properly dry, so they were not particularly suitable for the burner. To the owner’s credit, they did offer to reimburse me for purchasing suitable logs. The cooker was not fully functioning regarding reaching required temperature, and a broken oven handle. I was told that it had previously damaged a few stays ago and had been repaired with glue by the handyman and that a replacement oven was on order. The owner was helpful and responsive when I contacted them about the problems, which I do acknowledge. However, responsiveness after arrival does not change the fact that there were numerous issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived. Overall, the property is not as it is presented in the description, and the combination of the noise, parking/access arrangements, cleanliness issues and several items not being fully functional made my stay disappointing.
