The Strathearn Hotel

The Staff could not do anymore to help and the restaurant is is fabuless good food large servings and value for money I would recommend a stay at the Strathearn

Nothing to dislike

Staff were very helpful and friendly Lovely old building Restuarant and bar were excellent Lovely room with bay window

Shower was a bit dark

Reception was quick and courteous to move us to a room with a more comfortable pullout bed.

The staff, the food, the location.

We paid extra to book a deluxe double room as opposed to a standard double room. However the photos and description of a deluxe room on booking.com, did not correctly reflect the size and style of the room we were given. It was much smaller, with very little furniture, the bathroom was tiny and the view was a flat felt roof (see attached photos). Having expressed our disappointment, We were offered an alternative room with the same disappointing size and appearance as our original room, and were told builders would be arriving at 8am the following morning to work on the balcony of this room, which was out of use. So we felt it wasn't a realistic alternative, and we would have to stay where we were. While the staff and food were great, I feel it is important to let people know that the room you think you are booking, may not be the one that you get.
