had such a lovely stay at the Vintage Beach House in Matosinhos. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and completely at home. The house has so much character and charm, and I could really feel the care that has gone into preserving and restoring it. I especially loved the relaxed atmosphere, the beautiful little details, and the feeling that this is a real home rather than just a place to stay. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made my stay even more special. The location is fantastic too — close to the beach, great restaurants and everything I needed, while still having a peaceful neighbourhood feeling. I really enjoyed my time here and would happily come back!

If I had to mention something, the house has a lot of historic character, which also means that some areas feel a little older and less polished than a modern hotel. The location is lively, so there can also be some street noise at times. For me, though, these were minor points and didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Staff and owners are super friendly and helpful! A home feeling away from home. Beautiful, beautiful house. Quiet room despite being close to a busy road - windows and shutters do a very good job blocking the noise. 3 minutes walk to Matosinhos beach. 2 minutes walk to a big supermarket and plenty of good restaurants nearby. Very close to the tramway. Coffee machine available in the kitchen. Good bathroom with a great shower.

No fan or air conditioning in room No mirror in room Unfortunately private bathroom was not in room but down a corridor so made it slightly awkward in the middle of the night! Very noisy unfortunately as the open plan design and wooden stairs carry a lot of noise.
