Natural Hostel

Clearly, the social and friendly atmosphere in this hostel is its strongest asset. The host creates an environment where anybody will feel welcome and comfortable. There is a lot of heart and passion that goes into it; it's not something you see often, especially in this particular part of Albania. Serxho really puts his heart into it. He will accept you, not as a guest, but as part of his little family that he creates there. If community and social connection are something that you care about, you will have a hard time finding a better place in Himara, there is no doubt about that.

It's the "Natural Hostel", so facilities are somewhat rudimentary. It's something you should expect. Personally, I didn't mind the showers being outside; it adds a nice touch, but I see why it would not be for everyone, especially if you're used to a clean and polished "hotel" vibe. It's authentic, and it's part of the charm

I looked the vibe and atmosphere. Somehow this place attracts a fun diverse range of people and facilitates a real sweet social vibe! I’ve read this about many hostels but this place really does create space for that. I met so many people, had great conversations, and just hung out the whole day with them. The dinner was great and again feels like family. Favorite hostel in Albania so far. The Volunteers and the owner Serxho cook dinner fresh every day and Serxho is a fun and chill host. +++ Big extra plus points for butt showers in the toilet.

Great owner and staff, owner Serxio (like Sergio) is there every day and is a fantastic, funny, kind guy and great cook - he and the staff make a real effort to connect with guests. The outdoor showers were such a welcome treat after being in so many other cramped hostel facilities. The place itself is near to many beaches, centrally located a short distance off the main road in a quiet location.

Not a thing. Maybe the curtains being short/low on the upper bunks but I was rarely in the bedrooms except for sleeping.
