Hesmir's Nest

The owner was EXTREMELY helpful! 1) He set up a taxi to drive me from and to the airport. 2) talked to the driver, giving him instructions to carry my suitcase upstairs and to help me get into the apartment. He left two large water bottles in the refrigerator. The apartment is a LARGE one-room, separate bathroom, including a table and chairs, a rack for hanging clothes, a comfortable bed, extra towels and sheets. It has a refrigerator, cooktop, and washer/dryer combo on the enclosed balcony. The location was convenient because: on one of the sides there has a small grocery store, on the other side a fruit and vegetable market. It is approximately a 5-minute walk to Tirana Ring Circle and a 20-25-minute walk to the city center.

Everything was excellent! It's a good value apartment with a comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, and modern feel. The host is kind and helpful with fast communication. You can now pay with credit card (although I was prepared to pay with cash). I was so happy to have a washing machine (with dryer functions!); it's a great bonus feature. There is a squeegee in the bathroom, the wifi is fast, and the space is extremely clean. I cannot recommend this place enough. It really felt like a home, and I was extremely satisfied with my stay.

I had to buy laundry detergent once I arrived, and it's hard to find small quantities. I left the bag for the next guest :) I wonder if the host might consider leaving enough for one or two loads/guest? For a small charge? It's a little outside the city center, but in my opinion it's a nice walk (maybe 15 to 25 minutes depending on where you are going), or you can bus it. (I liked staying in a quiet, residential area, personally).
