Location is prime, steps from the Pantheon and numerous restaurants. Small grocery stores, gelateria and cafes are also nearby.

There was a dishwasher but I would have had to buy a whole box of detergent for it to use it a couple of times. It would've been nice if the owner left 2-3 tablets for my use. The place was pretty clean. But the corners need more attention. I happen to drop a black sock and it was covered in dust when I picked it up. I can handle noise, but for those sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs. Note: there is no elevator. Going up and down to the 3rd floor was fine without luggage. But I had a hard time getting my luggage up the first evening. My host had someone help me when I left. The air conditioner is the canopy room didn't work very well. I didn't use the second bedroom so I can't comment on that one.

Location is perfect!

The location was great, and the interior of the apartment was comfortable and spacious, with two full bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and spacious living room. There was great lighting in every room and many convenient outlets. The host provided referrals to good restaurants and coffee places.

This property got a fair rating because it did not meet the expectation of "luxury" -- a word that is used in the property description. We never did meet the host, and all our communications were via email, so the feeling of welcoming hospitality was missing. We were very disappointed when we opened the street door to enter the property. The entry hall was dirty, with trash, bottles and plastic bags strewn on the floor and not picked up at all during our 7-night stay. The interior of the building was dirty, with marred and scratched walls and a damaged marble bottom step. The interior of the apartment required repairs and touch-ups. There were holes in the walls in the bathrooms where towel rods should be, and a hazardous step-down in one bedroom, where a warning strip was missing but the raised screws remaining. We should have read the reviews more carefully, because we found there was no elevator, and we were on the third floor (72 steps). This fact should be more highlighted in the booking listing.
