Wonderful hotel with fantastic room service
5 / 10·set 2026
The Grand Galvez is beautiful, charming, and rich in history. Most of the staff were wonderful; however, some of the restaurant and lobby bar staff could have been warmer and more welcoming. They weren’t rude—just a little dry and not quite up to the exceptional standard of the rest of the hotel.
The pool was wonderful, and the room was very comfortable. The television didn’t always work, but we weren’t there to watch TV anyway! Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return. The Grand Galvez is truly a five-star Galveston experience.
