We enjoyed our stay at Balcary House Hotel. The surroundings were lovely and the building was beautiful. Staff very helpful.

The Lodge room was very spacious, bright and clean, as was the en-suite bathroom. Very friendly staff, good value for money. Very happy to recommend this hotel.

We had a beautiful quiet room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was good - items such as eggs and tomatoes were fresh cooked and hot; meat products were sometimes lukewarm. Service was good. Just a bit disappointed that there was no availability of meals/dinner in the evening- a light lunch was available until 6pm. Would help residents to know this beforehand but that might put off people booking. Monday night was difficult with most eateries closed and we could only find a run of the mill Wetherspoons.

Excellent stay , delicious breakfast. Washbasin in the bathroom dreadfully small. Great shower . Very comfortable bed .
Charming property.
