Nice older property with a lot of character. Great central location allowing for walks to restaurants, bars and shopping.

The front of the hotel looks like a 60s/70s concrete block but it's much nicer inside. It's an easy walk from the local train and bus stations. A bit over a kilometre if you want to visit the mine.
Free tea, coffee and fruit in reception was a good touch given that many Swedish hotels don't have drinks or fridges in the rooms. The room was clean and comfortable. Only negative was that the shower door didn't stop water from spreading across the bathroom floor. The breakfast buffet had a very wide selection and I would have enjoyed more of it if I wasn't in Falun for a 5k run. The food in the resaurant was of a good standard included dishes using local ingredients such as reindeer and moss.
