Clean rooms and helpful staff

We had a great stay at Hotel Ateneo. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Madrid and walking distance to everything. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and a solid value for the area. Being so central, there’s a bit of street noise at times, but nothing unexpected for Puerta del Sol. Overall, a very good stay and a hotel we’d happily return to.

Great hotel in a fabulous part of the city. Quick access to shopping, food, metro and many of Madrid's must-see architectural attractions.
