Booked a suite room with lake view.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The room itself is old fashioned, a little musty, but was clean and tidy.
There's sachets of tea, coffee and milk, and some biscuits. The kettle looked clean and I was happy to use it. The view was lovely. Toiletries in the bathroom with shampoo. Shower gel and hand soap. Could have been filled up. Shower was very hard to get the lever up and get the water coming out the head. But water stayed consistently warm which was good.
Downside was a drunk rowdy bunch of 60-somethings. They were shouting in the bar area, and I could hear them shouting from my room. Please be considerate to your fellow guests.
Breakfast staff man was helpful and super efficient. Bar staff were friendly, quick and tidy. I like this hotel, it could do with updating, but I suppose it gives it some character. Will stay again.
