20 South Battery

We booked two carriage house rooms for a long weekend and it was amazing. Let's start with the location. White Point Garden is directly across the street. It is an easy walk to the Battery. About a mile to Pineapple Fountain, etc. There is plenty of street parking (permit provided on check in) so you could park and walk almost anywhere. Or catch the free Dash bus nearby. Rooms 1-3 were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast can be served in the small dining area or delivered to your room. The options offered (provided from a local bakery) were all very good. The charcuterie/mocktail reception was also a nice plus. Bonus points for the coffee, water and insect repellent provided in the lobby. The staff is wonderful. The one minor problem we had on our last night was handled immediately and efficiently. I don't usually leave reviews but 20 South Battery deserves 5 stars. I would give a bonus star if I could.

Absolutely glorious experience!

Loved staying here! The property, inside and out, was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the park and the river across the street was lovely. All the positives make up for the location being a bit further from restaurants and bars, although within walking distance depending on your abilities. We’d stay here again!

The staff was so nice and accommodating. We took a tour of the property and it was wonderfully led by Molly whose training as an art restorer and local resident was just perfect. They even had a supply of umbrellas for our use as our stay had rain two days out of four. Breakfast was supplied by a local bakery and was excellent. Parking was right out front of the property and we were supplied a parking slip for our car during our stay.
