We had a wonderful three nights in the mountain facing rooms. Added bonus of being able to watch the sun rise from the room. Friendly staff provided an excellent meal on the first evening. Breakfast choices were many and varied; we certainly set off each day well filled. The village itself was great for wandering around and the castle of course was the highlight. Slightly scared at first at the narrow entrance into the village in our hire car, but it's actually OK. Plenty of room. Parking easy outside. We found plenty to do in the area - could have stayed for longer. Thank you!

Clean room, great location within the castle with an amazing view, friendly and helpful staff, awesome food in the restaurant. The hotel carries the history and cultural features of Portugal. Unforgettable experience!

Very clean rooms and the whole hotel is in great condition. Marvao is a very special and nice village within an old fortress on top of a mountain about 840 meters over the sea level. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay!
